The type of information we collect
- Personal identifiers and characteristics (for example, name, contact details, and profile photo).
- Device information (including unique identifier, device model, iOS version, app version, and whether the device has the development version installed).
How we get the personal information and why we have it
Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:
- Upon registration of the Marvelist app.
- To provide personalisation to the Marvelist app.
- To provide access to the list sharing capabilities within the Marvelist app.
We do not receive any personal information indirectly.
We will only share this information with law enforcement agencies when requested under local jurisdiction. Law enforcement will be required to provide a justifiable reason and formal order to request this information.
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:
- Your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting help@marvelist.co.uk or by deleting your account from the User Profile section.
- We need it to perform a specific task.
- We need it to provide you with services.
- We have a legitimate interest.
How we store your personal information
Your information is securely stored.
We keep the above listed personal information for the duration in which you would like to continue using the services we provide. Upon receiving a request from you to remove this information we will then dispose your information within 30 days of the request being made.
All personal information and data uploaded to the service will be removed within 30 days, some audit information may be kept for longer to comply with security policies and compliance requirements.
Your data protection rights
Under data protection law, you have rights including:
- Your right of access - You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.
- Your right to rectification - You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.
- Your right to erasure - You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances.
- Your right to restriction of processing - You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
- Your right to object to processing - You have the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
- Your right to data portability - You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.
You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
